Twenty years on, a burning star falls upon Tristram — and the Nephalem, humanity's old power reborn, rise to meet the end of days as angels and demons make their final moves.
A fallen star heralds the return of the Prime Evil. The Nephalem cut through Belial's lies and Azmodan's siege, only to see the witch Adria betray her daughter Leah and forge Diablo whole within the Black Soulstone — the one Prime Evil, ascendant, storming the High Heavens.
Then wisdom curdles into death: Malthael, fallen Aspect, claims the Black Soulstone to purge the demonic essence from all humanity. Once more, the Nephalem deny the end.
